Huntsman Experience

This year has been my first at Utah State, so I haven't had much interaction with the Huntsman School of Business, especially considering that I just barely decided what I wanted my major to be. However, this semester I have had one class in particular associated with the Huntsman School of Business that has been especially enjoyable. This class is my Econ 1500 class.

My teacher, Randy Simmons, is a great man. I mostly enjoy his class because he makes comparisons between economics and grapes--in other words, he makes it applicable to real life. Randy and I also share many of the same views, so when he goes off on random tangents about how he thinks the government should be run, I listen attentively because I agree. This class is actually what caused me to choose economics as my major. Because I find the material incredibly interesting, I decided to make it my major.

Without having taken this class, I wouldn't have decided on a path so early in my college career and might still be floundering around perhaps even a few years from now. Because of this experience and others, I have had a very positive interaction with the Huntsman School of Business.
